Background: Skills Alliance is a life science recruiter headquartered in London. Established in 2005, they had become quite successful in their niche, but had struggled to outgrow the competition. They had made several attempts to break through the growth ceiling through reinforcing their sales force, but were failing; it was clear that they needed a different approach. In addition they were further hampered by an inability to retain key staff members.

The challenge: In the initial research phase it was identified that Skills Alliance as an organisation had some inherent weaknesses. They had a very strong sales organisation as well as financial function, but virtually no investment in business systems and recruitment marketing. To make Skills Alliance competitive, they needed to put in place a solid foundation to stand on, covering both external communications (marketing) as well as powerful business systems with a focus on automation and efficiency.

The solution: th digital marketing consulting devised and executed a project covering a strategic review of Skills Alliance’s recruitment marketing approach, the development of a corporate identity, an overhaul of their visual identity, the design and build of a new functionally advanced website as well as the integration of a leading cloud based recruitment CRM, an applicant tracking and multi ad-posting technology and an enterprise level email marketing system.

End result:  The business has now had a much needed invigoration in the shape of a stunning new website, driven by a strong and iconic visual identity and some of the best recruitment technology available. The site acts as a one-stop shop for candidate generation as well as give Skills Alliance the gravitas and credibility in the marketplace they were previously lacking. Together with all the other communication devices produced and delivered they now have a solid platform to help them outgrow the competition. Update: based on the work delivered Skills Alliance increased their turnover by 120% in 12 months, a result that speaks for itself.
